Storms A Bit Ahead of Schedule - Still Not Likely to Affect World Series...


Above is the latest image from the Oklahoma City area radar.  A complex of thunderstorms is moving Southeast at about 30 mph toward the Red River.  This is about 1 hour ahead of schedule from the HRRR model forecast earlier this afternoon.

Below is the view from the Ft. Worth radar, with Arlington, the site of the World Series, indicated at the tip of the white arrow...


Based on the present location of the leading edge of this activity, and factoring in a movement of 30 mph toward the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex, the estimated time of arrival would be between Midnight and 1am CDT.  Unless something very unlikely happens, this should not affect Game 3 of the World Series...even though the activity is approaching the Red River about 1 hour ahead of schedule...
