Tornadic Supercell Moving Toward Talladega, AL

A potentially dangerous situation as a tornadic supercell is moving directly toward the city of Talladega, AL and the Talladega Motor Speedway.  Hundreds of campers and other light "shelters" are in place out there preparing for the race this weekend.  Those folks need to seek safe shelter immediately!

Large hail is also likely with this storm.

Very pronounced hook echo on this storm, as you can see.  Tornado warning in the pinkish colored polygon at this time.

**Update 6:15 PM CDT**  This storm is gradually "turning right" and is now moving East/Northeast at 40 mph.  If this trend continues the most dangerous part of the storm will pass South of the speedway, however very heavy rain, strong winds and hail will still be possible at the speedway:

At 6:04 PM CDT, tornado was reported on the ground near Alpine.
