Severe Weather Update - Arkansas Region

Very active severe weather continues in a swath from Northwest to Southeast across Arkansas, with another band of activity  moving toward the Western border with Oklahoma, as you can see in the radar image just taken below (click to enlarge):


Tornado warnings are in effect with several storms across the state, as shown by the pink polygons in the image below:


The smaller Tornado Warning polygon at the right-center portion of the image shows a tornadic storm moving toward the Tennessee border just West of Memphis area at this time.  If this storm continues on an Easterly track, it will threaten the greater Memphis area within the next 30-45 minutes.


Large, damaging hail, destructive winds and dangerous tornadoes are possible across the entire region this evening.  Please remain alert and seek tornado shelter if threatening weather approaches your area.
