Lookout, Tulsa!


The above radar image was taken just a moment ago and shows very intense, severe thunderstorms moving toward the Tulsa Metro area from the West.

The storm over Pawnee and Osage county has a tornado warning on it currently (pinkish colored polygon).  The storms over Lincoln county (moving into Creek county) are showing rotational characteristics and could produce a tornado at any time.

These storms are currently moving Northeast, but are expected to begin turning more toward an East/Northeast to Easterly direction over the next hour.

In general, severe thunderstorms can be expected in the Tulsa area right during the middle of rush hour, in about one hour if the current trends continue...
